Does anyone else see my journal or chat history?
No. Your journal entries, check-ins, streak history, and chat history are stored in an encrypted local database on your device and never uploaded to Deployd's servers. Only the message you send to the AI companion leaves your device — and only to generate that one reply.
What happens if I slip?
You reset your streak when you choose to — Clearpath doesn't auto-detect or shame you. Your previous best streak is preserved permanently, your XP and level never drop, and a "comeback" badge rewards getting back on track. A slip is a check-in, not a failure.
How does the AI companion handle crisis situations?
Every message — yours and the companion's — passes through a two-layer safety check: an on-device keyword scan first, then an AI classifier for longer or ambiguous messages. If either layer detects a potential crisis, the AI stream stops and the app shows a Crisis screen with hotlines for your region, with a deliberate hold-to-dismiss so it can't be swiped away accidentally.
Can I use Clearpath without faith-based language?
Yes — secular framing is the default. If faith is part of your recovery, you can opt into Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or practical-mindset framing for the AI companion's tone during onboarding, and change it any time in Settings.
Does Clearpath work offline?
Streak tracking, check-ins, journaling, Urge Mode, and gamification all work fully offline. Only AI companion conversations and the crisis-message classifier require an internet connection.
